Royal Mersey Yacht Club Ghost Hunts, History & Paranormal Events
The Yacht Club is one of the Wirral’s most historic and prestigious buildings. Situated in New Brighton overlooking the River Mersey, the club has played an important role in British sailing history since the nineteenth century and continues to be recognised for its Royal Charter granted by Queen Victoria in 1844.
Today, DeadLive is proud to introduce paranormal investigations to this remarkable building, giving guests the opportunity to experience its history from an entirely different perspective after dark.
A Historic Maritime Landmark
Founded in the early nineteenth century, the RMYC quickly became one of Britain’s leading sailing clubs. Throughout its long history it has welcomed generations of sailors, hosted prestigious competitions and played an important part in the development of yachting on the River Mersey.
The club’s Royal Charter, granted during the reign of Queen Victoria, reflects its importance within Britain’s maritime heritage and remains a defining part of its identity today.
Its elegant architecture, historic rooms and commanding position overlooking the Mersey create a unique atmosphere unlike any other venue in the region.
