Paranormal investigations for beginners
Your first ghost hunt should feel exciting, not confusing. You do not need previous experience, specialist knowledge or your own paranormal equipment. DeadLive welcomes both believers and sceptics and explains each part of the investigation before it begins.
What happens on the night?
- Welcome and safety briefing: your hosts explain the venue, the evening and any areas that require extra care.
- Small-group sessions: guests investigate different parts of the building with experienced hosts.
- Equipment and experiments: you may use EMF meters, audio recorders, trigger objects and traditional investigation techniques.
- Quiet investigation: some sessions reduce noise and equipment so the group can observe the location for themselves.
Every venue and event is different, but the aim is always the same: give you a genuine opportunity to investigate and reach your own conclusions.
What should you bring?
- Comfortable, warm clothing and sensible closed footwear
- A small torch
- Any medication or personal items you may need
- A phone or camera if the venue permits photography
- An open mind and respect for the venue and other guests
Event pages explain individual arrival times, age limits, accessibility and venue-specific requirements. Read those details before booking.
Do I need experience or equipment?
No. DeadLive provides the equipment used during hosted sessions and shows the group how it works. Experienced investigators are also welcome, but nobody is expected to perform or pretend that something has happened.
What DeadLive promises
- No actors and no staged scares
- Small groups led by experienced hosts
- A clear safety briefing and structured investigation
- Believers and sceptics are equally welcome
Paranormal activity is never guaranteed. Historic buildings can make ordinary sounds and environmental changes, and part of a responsible investigation is considering normal explanations.
Before you book
Check the event date, start and finish times, venue location and any age or access restrictions. Arrive on time because late entry may not be possible once the investigation has started.
Bookings are made securely online. Please read the booking, cancellation and refund policy before purchasing.
