What Did the Trap Camera Capture at Mayer Hall?
During a previous paranormal investigation at Mayer Hall in Bebington, a trap camera recorded unusual footage inside the building.
The video appears to show a human-shaped figure standing close to a row of chairs. Its outline is visible for several moments, yet the image raises more questions than answers. Was it a person caught unexpectedly by the camera, a trick of the light, or something more difficult to explain?
We never tell guests what they must believe. The footage is presented exactly as it was captured so everyone can examine it and reach their own conclusion.
A Haunted Hall in Bebington
Mayer Hall opened in 1878 and was created through the generosity of local antiquarian and philanthropist Joseph Mayer. Over the years, the building has served Bebington as a museum, art gallery, council chamber and community venue. Its long history means generations of people have passed through its rooms.
Visitors and investigators have reported footsteps when rooms appear empty, sudden cold areas, unexplained voices and the unsettling feeling of being watched. The hall is also believed to stand on the site of an earlier building, adding another layer to its history and mystery.
The trap-camera footage has now become another intriguing piece of material connected with this atmospheric Wirral venue.
