Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy

DeadLive Limited

Effective from: 11 August 2026

This policy applies to tickets purchased directly from DeadLive Limited for ghost hunts, paranormal events, mediumship events, workshops and other ticketed experiences.

Please read these terms before purchasing a ticket. By completing a booking, you agree to these booking and cancellation terms.

Event Tickets and Cancellation Rights

DeadLive events are leisure activities provided on a specific date or during a specific period.

The normal 14-day cancellation period that applies to many online purchases does not generally apply to tickets for leisure activities taking place on a specified date.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

If You Can No Longer Attend

We understand that circumstances can change. Please contact DeadLive as soon as possible if you are unable to attend an event.

More Than 7 Days Before the Event

Where you contact us more than 7 days before an event, we will normally try to offer one of the following:

  • transfer your booking to another suitable DeadLive event, subject to availability; or

  • consider a refund where appropriate.

Any refund will take into account costs already reasonably incurred by DeadLive in connection with the booking.

Within 7 Days of the Event

If you cancel within 7 days of an event, refunds are not normally available.

This is because DeadLive commits to venue hire, staffing, equipment and other event costs based on confirmed bookings, and it may not be possible to resell your place at short notice.

Where we are able to resell your place or our financial loss is lower, we will take this into account when considering any refund.

At our discretion, we may offer a transfer to another event as a gesture of goodwill. A goodwill transfer does not create an automatic right to further transfers or a cash refund.

Transfers

Any transfer offered by DeadLive is subject to availability and must be agreed by us before the original event takes place.

Tickets cannot automatically be transferred from one event to another.

Where a customer has previously received a discretionary or goodwill transfer, any further transfer will be considered individually.

If DeadLive Cancels an Event

If DeadLive cancels an event and no suitable replacement date is offered, customers will be entitled to a refund of the ticket price paid directly to DeadLive.

Alternatively, customers may choose to transfer the value of their ticket to another DeadLive event where available.

DeadLive will not be responsible for additional costs incurred by customers, such as travel, accommodation or other associated expenses, except where required by law.

If an Event Is Rescheduled

If an event has to be moved to a different date, existing bookings will normally be transferred automatically to the replacement date.

If you cannot attend the replacement date, please contact us and we will discuss the available options, including a refund where appropriate.

Changes to an Event

Occasionally we may need to make reasonable changes to an event, including changes to staff, mediums, investigators, equipment, timings or areas of a venue being used.

A minor change to the advertised event does not normally constitute cancellation of the event.

If a significant change materially alters the event you purchased, please contact us.

Venue Requirements and Customer Conduct

Customers must follow reasonable instructions given by DeadLive staff and venue management, including health and safety requirements.

DeadLive reserves the right to refuse admission or require a person to leave where their behaviour threatens the safety, wellbeing or enjoyment of other guests, staff or the venue.

Customers refused admission or removed because of their behaviour will not normally be entitled to a refund.

Alcohol and Drugs

Customers must not attend an event under the influence of illegal drugs or in a condition caused by alcohol that makes their participation unsafe or disruptive.

Late Arrival

Many DeadLive events take place in secure historic buildings where access may be restricted once an investigation has started.

Customers are responsible for arriving at the advertised registration or start time. We cannot guarantee admission to customers who arrive late.

Third-Party Ticketing Websites

Where tickets are purchased through a third-party ticketing provider, such as Eventbrite or Skiddle, that provider’s booking and refund procedures may also apply.

Customers should contact the ticketing provider where required.

Event-Specific Conditions

Some venues or events may have additional requirements, including minimum ages, footwear requirements, accessibility restrictions or venue-specific rules.

Any important event-specific requirements will be displayed on the relevant event page.

Contacting DeadLive

If you need to cancel, transfer or discuss a booking, please contact DeadLive as soon as possible and provide:

  • your name;

  • booking or order number;

  • event name and date; and

  • the reason for contacting us.

We will consider each request fairly and in accordance with these terms and applicable consumer law.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you have under UK consumer law.

DeadLive Limited reserves the right to update these terms from time to time. The terms applicable to a booking will be those made available when that booking is made.
