Denbigh Town Hall stands on Crown Lane in the heart of this North Wales market town. Built between 1915 and 1917, it replaced an earlier market hall of 1848. Architect Charles Ernest Elcock designed the building in an eclectic Arts and Crafts style that mixes baronial and Art Nouveau influences. Construction continued through the First World War, making it one of the few British civic buildings completed entirely during that period. The ground floor originally served as a market hall while the upper floors housed civic rooms. The building is Grade II* listed.
Once the doors close for the night the atmosphere changes. DeadLive hosts small-group paranormal investigations inside the areas made available for the event. Guests explore the building with the team after a full safety briefing and introduction.
What to expect on the night:
- A welcome, safety briefing and introduction to the investigation
- Small group vigils in different areas of the building
- Opportunities to use paranormal investigation equipment
- Traditional experiments including table tipping, glass work and dowsing
- Quiet observation sessions where the building can be experienced without distraction
- Complimentary tea, coffee and light refreshments
These ghost hunts are not staged and paranormal activity cannot be guaranteed. Each investigation is approached with an open mind so guests can consider anything they experience for themselves.
